by Joshua Feinberg

Business plan outlines vary in their complexity. Depending on your situation you may just want to follow a very basic business plan outline. Regardless, the process of sitting down, creating a business plan outline, and writing a business plan is one of the most valuable exercises you will do.

Basic Business Plan Outline

List your business credentials - why are you qualified to start this business and sell your products and services?

List your staff: Is it going to be just yourself, or do you have a definite plan in terms of when you are going to hire sales, technical, or administrative staff?

Why would you want to be enlightened?

27 10 2006

by Edwin Harkness Spina
Enlightenment

Yesterday, a marketing guru asked me a question that left me speechless.

I had retained Bob to review the copy on my Mystic Warrior website from a sales perspective. He asked about reader reactions. As we talked, I told him how some readers felt compelled, while in the midst of my book, to put it down and meditate. In several cases, they described tingling sensations on the crown of their head and of receiving “downloads of energy and information.” I told Bob they were “attuning with God” and how this is a step towards enlightenment.

That’s when he asked me the question that left me speechless.

He asked, “Why would you want to be enlightened?”

Getting Rid of the ‘Pink Panther’ Cloud of Doubt

26 10 2006

by Travis Wrightpink panther

Do you remember the old Pink Panther cartoon where he would walk around all sad and the rain cloud would follow him everywhere? Anywhere he would walk, that rain cloud would only rain on him. Do you ever feel like that?

I liken this rain cloud of the Pink Panther as our own personal ‘Rain Cloud of Doubt’. Doubt can get the best of you and leave you in a state of insecurity. Sometimes its difficult to get rid of that doubt and lack of confidence, however with a new technique, perhaps you can overcome this and move forward with strength and belief in your ability to conquer whatever is in your path.

What is Doubt anyway? Is it fear of failure? Is it fear of not being accepted by others?

Finding The Greatness Within

24 10 2006

by William Frank Diedrich

It is an illusion that only some people are great. All of us have greatness within us. As a teacher, I have always felt surrounded by greatness, whether I was in a school classroom or a workshop for adults. It has always been easy to see the potential people carry within themselves. It has been more difficult to see greatness within myself.

Often my explorations inward did not result in discoveries of greatness, but of unworthiness and lack. Like many, I grew up thinking there was something wrong with me. I saw the world as a fearful place where I had to earn my way to acceptance. I hoped that others wouldn’t discover the lack in me that seemed so evident. Feeling fearful and lacking, I pushed forward anyway.

Using your Subconscious Mind to Help Find the Answers to Your Questions on Career and Business.

23 10 2006

Refinance Mortgage Inc.

Any entrepreneur’s goal is to no longer work for someone else, and to move forward with our own business ideas. When you work for someone else, you are exchanging time for dollars. Most of us aren’t fortunate enough to 100% completely work for ourselves, which is a sad deal. Our children grow so fast, and yet most of us are gone from the home from 7am until around 6pm, five days a week… giving time to your employer in exchange for a paycheck. This is a cycle that we need to break free from. How do we get out of this cycle? We ask ourselves better questions.

I first got online in 1996 at the University of Kansas Computer Center. Within one week I had built a website to promote my then stand-up comedy aspirations. I needed some promotion, so how can I make this happen? Wow, a website! So, I dabbled in all the development programs.

What else can I learn? How else can I promote myself?

A Guide to Good Decision Making

22 10 2006

Over the years of working for Rich DeVos in the Magic organization, I have seen him make many bold, risky, multimillion-dollar decision. From watching him and talking to him in those moments of decision, I have identified eight principles Rich uses whenever he has a difficult decision to make.

These eight principles have made him one of the most effective and successful decision makers of all time:

1. Pray
Prayer is two-way communication, so talk to God and ask him for wisdom – then listen for his answer.

2. Define the Decision that Must be Made
Ask yourself: What am I trying to achieve with this decision? What is the problem that must be solved? What are my options? Avoid looking at the decision in either/or terms. There are often three or more options to any decision, so think creatively and expand your options.

Power Nap Your Way To Success

20 10 2006

By Steven Gillman

A “power nap” is what used to be called a catnap. The new term was apparently coined by social psychologist James Maas. It is a short nap that is designed to refresh you, and make you more productive. Does it work?

Dr. Sara Mednick, a researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, says napping benefits cell repair, heart function, and hormonal maintenance. What a power nap does is maximize these benefits, by getting the rejuvenative effects in as short a time as possible. Brain function is helped as well. A NASA study found that naps don’t aid alertness, but they do improve memory functions.
