Web and TV. Do You Waste Too Much Time?

by Travis WrightWasting TIme

It’s a new day. The alarm goes off. You get up. You go. You work. You come home. You watch TV. You surf the web. You go to sleep.

Rinse and Repeat.

The monotony of life can lull your mind into listlessness, almost effortlessly, if you allow the disease to permeate your soul. We need to keep and maintain the spice of life. This is essential to life-long happiness and health.

What are we truly passionate about? Why are we here? Is it worth it to watch another rerun episode of Seinfeld for the 5th time? How does this day effect the future? What momentum do we have?

If we are watching massive hours of television then we are seriously stunting our personal development.

Please don’t get me wrong… I watch my share of television. There are a couple shows like “RockStar [Insert Band Name Here]” and Survivor. And I also watch any informercial with Brooke Burke on it, as well. Heh. However, I spend roughly 5-7 hours a week watching television. The rest of the time, Im in the Lab with a pen and a pad trying to get the business rolling. Watching excessive television detracts from my definite purpose.

I could also say that sitting in front of your PC can be very time wasteful as well. Is the time you are spending only being productive toward your life’s plan and goals? Do you even have a life plan and goal worksheet?

We need to consistently tap into our business agenda and move forward, while minimizing time wasting activities such as tv, internet, and video games. By utilizing those extra 10-30 hours a week toward your goals and desires. How much more do you think you could accomplish?

Much Love-

It’s amazing how much time we actually do have outside of our dayjobs. I still watch TV, but I decided a couple of years ago to not watch crap. That decision was worth about 10 hours a week. I used to get much better in poker — studying made a noticeable difference. And more recently, to start blogging at WB.

    Good post.
