You Bring About, What You Think About

by Travis Wright

The mainstream is finally catching on to the personal development movement. With Oprah having 3 shows in the past two weeks about the movie, The Secret, more and more people are finding out that life is our playground. We control our state. We control our life, with our thoughts. As someone who has been a spiritual seeker for quite some time, it warms my heart that a movie has finally come out that offers solutions to the problems that plague most minds.

This message rings true in life, what you think about becomes your destiny.

Instead of fueling the fire of negativity, it teaches of an approach to living, that if used consistently will help create a wildly, successful path for your life.

For many years, I focused on the stress in my throat, and how it was getting worse. As a result many of the muscles in my face were out of alignment, and my throat was always in pain. The more I thought of it, the more pain I had. The more pain and stress that I had, the more weight that I gained. However, once I realized that there was a lesson to be learned and to be thankful for the lesson, I was able to take my focus off of being in ill health, and begin to focus on becoming physically fit and whole.

I was looking at the Amazon.com page that sells the DVD, Some of the people were leaving messages on there are very angry, upset and holding grudges at things or other people. In this state you can not become whole. However, realize that they are there to teach us something. And then learn the lesson it offers and move forward.

Now, Oprah has had 2 shows on The Secret, in back to back weeks. And also, an additional, After the Show, on Oxygen… so now LEGIONS of Oprah fans all over the world are opening their eyes to the power of the Law of Attraction. This is so very powerful. The ‘Personal Development Movement’ is in full effect thanks to Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, the Teachers of the Secret and now Oprah for bringing it to the mainstream. How exciting.

Show it to your children. Show it to your family. Show it to your friends. Show it to your neighbors. Show it to your Congressmen. [heh.]

Thoughts become things. Negative or positive, you bring about what you think about. So choose wisely. And let the world know!

Successfully,

Travis Wright

I’m just curious about why Hill wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the movie or the book. I mean, other than the testimonials, there’s nothing in “The Secret” that Hill didn’t already say.

Good Question… I would have liked to have seen that also. Another mentor I would have liked to have seen on the Secret was Dr. Wayne Dyer. That man is magical.

Hill did mention the Law of Attraction in his Law of Success book. Very interesting.

I think your thoughts are also documented in a book I keep by my bedside called “As a man thinketh”. Good short book. Non preachy.

As far as the “The Secret”. I personally have no plans to see it. I think it will be one of those things that people that are constantly seeking the next big thing will see. After “The Secret” there will be some other well marketing item that will transform peoples life. No thanks for me. I don’t live trend to trend.

    Keep up the good postings

Sometimes the words of others are more powerful than the voice from within, I think even though this might be spreading a good word, it’s important to take it with a grain of salt and make your own choices.

Mike Riley’s last blog post..Hey, let’s give Palin the nuclear codes, she’s a capable person.
