    Was this advertising or advice?

    Looks like advertising to me.

As far as I’m concerned, one of the best ways to overcome the fear of public speaking is to practice, then practice, and then practice again. That not only gets the subject of your speech firmly embeded into your head but it goes a long way to developing your confidence too.

Oh yuk. Anything written in the third person is a mistake! :)

More seriously, I don’t **totally** agree with Michael (Williams) - as there are plenty of other things to help overcome the fear of public speaking and make presentations but certainly practice is right up amongst the top ones.

    Self aggrandisement, however, isn’t.

I will never understand why people fear public speaking more than death, no matter how many poor performances I see.

And yes, there are plenty of free, or cheaper, guides to improving your public speaking. The net has plenty, and local colleges usually have short courses also.
